READYMADE x Nike Blazer Mid

READYMADE, an upcycling fashion company from Japan, has teamed up with Nike to create a truly one of a kind Blazer Mid. With help from the brand’s designer Yuta Hosokawa, Nike was able to produce a Blazer mid that truly fits the aesthetic of READYMADE.

This Deconstructed version of a Blazer Mid features a longer and thinner half stitched Swoosh. The layered upper Consists of splotched foam beneath leather side panels held together by a second set of laces and two bungee cords forming an X. The midsoles and rubber toe caps are textured, giving these Blazers a more rugged look. This was accomplished by using clay molds. READYMADE’s upcycling ideals are shown in the outsole, which is 15% recycled Nike Grind material.

There will be two colorways releasing: One with White overlays and a Black Swoosh, and the other will have Black overlays with an Orange Swoosh

“We deconstructed the Blazer and recreated it without losing sight of its DNA,” Yuta Hosokawa, the READYMADE designer, says. “I have been playing basketball since I was in third grade. The first pair of shoes I bought for myself were Nikes. That’s how I came to like fashion.”

These kicks are priced at $170 and release on February 27, 2021 at Nike.com
