Now, Barkley is getting his own iteration of the iconic Air Trainer 3 sneaker, the training shoe that Bo Jackson made popular in the late ‘80s. The Nike Air Trainer 3 Saquon Barkley is inspired majorly by New York City and is expected to hit the shelves on October 22nd this year.

Sneaker Details

The Saquon Barkley trainer features a cream-based upper and a multi-colored range of accents. There’s green, yellow, blue, and bright crimson covering various sections of the upper, while Barkley’s personal logo and 26 jersey number are on the heel of the tongue.

Design Influence/Inspiration

Barkley drew his inspiration both from the city he plays for and the sneaker culture of his childhood. The reflective piping on the shoes is reminiscent of the construction zones across the Big Apple, and the two black stripes over the Swoosh are a nod to the eyeblack Barkley will be wearing throughout the upcoming NFL season.
