LeBron James’ speed and power were the inspiration for the structural design of the Nike LeBron 18, the latest in James’ signature collection. The design’s unique cushion system features the Air Max fitted with the Zoom Air Bag, creating a combination of support that is both soft and has a little bounce to it. The siping and notches at the forefoot make it easier for the shoes to bend, providing heightened traction without hampering agility. The notches gradually disperse towards the rear of the outsole for impact protection. The material for the upper is Knitposite 2.0, the brand’s innovatively lightweight and durable knit fabric.

The Nike LeBron 18 signature will be released in four color schemes. “Reflections,” priced at $225, was released last September 21, 2020. It has graphics on the heel counter that depict key moments in James’ career, with a black upper and gold accents. “Empire Jade,” priced at $200, was also released last September 21, 2020 exclusively in China. The red ink hue, inspired by the Chinese emperor’s royal stamp, is set against stark white with a yellow tassel on one side. “James Gang” will be released on October 9, 2020 at $200. It sports bright multicolor splashes on the outsole and heel counter, offsetting the black of the upper. “Los Angeles by Day,” set for release on November 6, 2020 and priced at $200, has a sand-colored upper complimented by vivid blue with details related to the City of Angels.
