Russell Westbrook is known for pushing boundaries both on and off the court. He is known for his “Why Not?” lifestyle, not just because it’s his way of life but because it’s the name of his Jordan Brand signature line. This adventurous spirit is exhibited in his creative, colorful line of sneakers, most notably in the Player Edition (PE) colorways he sports. Let’s take a closer look at a few of the boldest and most eye-catching colorways seen on Westbrook lately.
Why Not? Zer0.3 “Remember Home”
This PE was created by students during a design workshop at a launch event in Los Angeles. Local students collaborated to combine flags from their respective cultures and a forest print to represent growth. The resulting colorway is bright, unique, and exemplifies unity.
Why Not? Zer0.3 “80s/90s”
Appearing in multiple styles, the “80s/90s” colorways evoke memories of classic references from those decades. Upon close inspection, you might notice patterns you recognize from television shows, movies, or popular figures from those decades!
Why Not? Zer0.3 “Splash Zone”
Inspired by childhood games, the “Splash Zone” PE evoked memories of water pistols and other toys. With a tag that says “No Batteries Required” and water droplet details throughout, you won’t be able to wait for summer vacation. “Splash Zone” was given a limited release by Jordan Brand to share the sense of childhood nostalgia that these shoes evoke.
Why Not? Zer0.3 “All Star Practice”
This iridescent colorway takes inspiration from the patterns and colors of the 1980’s. With eye-popping neon colors and bold leopard print, the wearer will fit in wherever they go, whether it be onto the basketball court or into an aerobics class!
