The Asics Gel Cumulus 22 is the successor of the popular Cumulus 21 silhouette.  From the look and feel of it, it appears that the brand has really stepped up its game with this model.

While the upper has several design changes, the Asics Gel Cumulus 22 continues to give users the superb ride that many have grown to love. The Asics Gel Cumulus 22 also bears a lot of similarities to the Asics Gel Nimbus 22.

But what makes the Asics Gel Cumulus 22 better than the Cumulus 21s? It has several upgrades from the upper to the insole.  The upper has been modified to feature mesh tooling, which adds some weight to the shoe. Those familiar with the Asics running line will feel some familiarity with this model. That’s a good thing since serious runners need predictability in their footwear.

The Flytefoam technology midsole is made softer than its predecessor to give you a more comfortable ride. Under the heel, where the foot hits the surface first, has also been given some modifications to better absorb impact. This new heel design features a deeper forefoot flex grooves and a softer midsole.
