Although it has yet to be officially released, the hype train for the Adidas Yeezy Quantum is already going at full steam. This is partially due to the brand’s tank-filled parade up and down the streets of Chicago during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.

Sneakerheads and Yeezy fans all over the world are preparing to scoop up the Kanye West-designed basketball sneaker. Adidas is getting ready to release another colorway called “Barium,” the leaks of which began to surface as early as March.

While the sneaker’s light, opaque tooling, and the dark black supported heel remain the same, the woven upper’s hue appears to be much darker, employing what appears to be an olive filter on top of both its overlaid supports and the underlying Primeknit.

The toe caps, on the other hand, feature a more striking and visually pronounced suede piece that looks a little faded compared to the tongue and laces that are adjacent to it. Finishing off the look is reflective detailing and a black rubber sole that encapsulates the brand’s signature Boost cushioning.

The Yeezy Quantum “Barium” is considered to be one of the brand’s most significant and most crucial releases to date. Not only is the Yeezy line taking a step outside of its comfort zone and venturing out onto the performance basketball realm, but it will also be going toe to toe against some of the most established brands in the industry such as Michael Jordan’s immaculate Jumpman brand and Nike’s LeBron line.
