Vans was First Founded in a city right outside of Los Angeles, California, that we know as Anaheim in the year 1966. Vans was created by brothers Paul Van Doren and James Van Doren with the help of Gordon C. Lee. They created the first Vans store under the name The Van Doren Rubber Company, which would eventually change into “Vans,” which originates from Paul and James’ last name. This store was very different than the vans stores we know and love today, considering they only had three individual styles of shoes. Vans are most noted for not only being extremely durable but also they don’t lack in comfort, and that’s what fans love most about them.
