2020 has no doubt been a crazy year, but that doesn’t mean the sneaker industry has lost any traction in design or popular silhouettes being reimagined. Here is our list of the most popular shoes of 2020.

Built with leather, blue, white and black tones, the Royal Toe takes a twist with inspiration from the original Jordan 1 Royal colorway, released in 1985, to add a little bit of spunk to the ‘Black Toe’ line.

Air Jordan 5 ‘Fire Red’

Released in May, these Air Jordans brought back an OG look for its 30th anniversary. White leather with fire red accents make these sneakers pop on and off the court.

Nike Air Jordan “New Beginnings Pack”

Paying tribute to Michael Jordan’s arrival to the NBA, these more than three decade old sneakers came out this year in a special edition pack featuring a fan favorite duo: MJ’s first two on-court sneakers in red and white; the famed Air Ship and the Air Jordan 1 High OG.

Grateful Dead SB

By far the furriest and most colorful shoes this year, Nike brings flair to these Nike SB dunks with this Grateful Dead collab. Inspired by a series of stylized dancing bears drawn by Bob Thomas as part of the back cover for the album History of the Grateful Dead, these shoes include faux fur and their bear logo, and comes in various different colorways like orange, green, blue, and more.

Jordan 1 Dior

A legendary and iconic shoe as Jordan’s first collab with a luxury high fashion label, the Jordan Dior are one of the most coveted shoes this year and in history. Produced in Italy in extremely limited quantities, Dior’s first ever collaboration with Jordan Brand featured a multilayered release for fashionistas and sneakerheads alike.

Jordan 1 Retro High Dark Mocha

Continuing its rich history with the Jordan Brand, the crisp Mocha color blocking on soft nubuck leather gives this OG a clean and subtle look.

Jordan 3 UNC

This colorway was originally created as a Player Exclusive for athletes at the University of North Carolina. With many a fan base, Jordan decided to make this release available to the public and paying homage to MJ’s college career and replacing the embroidered UNC logo on the tongue with their signature Jumpman logo.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 Israfil

Taking one of Yeezys most popular styles in a debated shoe named after the names of the Islamic angels Israfil and Asriel, a mix of tan, grey yarns, and neutral hues are enlivened by a streak of yellow along the side. The blue and beige Primeknit upper is paired with a blue Boost midsole and a light brown translucent outsole.

Yeezy Zyon

This Yeezy 350 V2 shares similarities with the Static colorway, featuring a Zyon Primeknit upper with a dark tonal side stripe. The grey and earthy undertones are set atop a translucent rubber Boost sole and cream interior.

AirMax 270

The first lifestyle Air Max to be released, the Air Max 270 provides both comfort and style with a clean array of colors.

Nike Air Max 270 React ENG Travis Scott Cactus Trails

Iconic rapper Travis Scott released a brown and toned down version of Air Max 270s in this design that brings together a 90s attitude and aesthetic with a well-worn feel. Scott’s affinity for vintage style is merged with the color of trails of the great outdoors, while the Cactus Jack logo makes an appearance at the heel-tab and insole.

Off-White x Nike Air Rubber Dunk “Green Strike”

Taking inspiration from the Nike SB Dunk and P-6000, Abloh highlights Nike’s performance heritage with an all black base and neon green detail outlines throughout, plus a bright orange hang tag. ‘Nike Off’ shows on the tongue tag, while ‘Shoelaces’ is shown on the shoelaces.

Off White Jordan 4 “Sail”

Debuting in the in Off-White™’s Fall/Winter 2020 Women’s show in Paris, this cream colorway Jordan features a full-grain leather upper with grid mesh and clear textiles. Bold, in all caps is the “AIR” text

Jordan 4 Retro Union Off Noir

In 2018, Los Angeles based designer Union teamed up with the Air Jordan 1 silhouette to make two iconic silhouettes.This fall, the duo released the Off Noir in anything but noir, with a mix of colors and materials like nylon, suede, and mesh in retro-style patterns.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Black & Gold

Set to release on December 1st, these Jordan 1’s in black and gold round out the year with the most exciting shoes come the end of the year.
