- by Chazz Demaria
- Release date: December 24, 2020
Kobe’s signature sneakers are known for having a ton of details and extreme amounts of creativity, and the Kobe 6 “Green Apple” is no exception. Initially releasing in 2010, Nike has officially announced a retro version will be hitting the shelves soon this month.
Diving into the sneaker Colorway, we see a light neon green apple throughout, which can be seen fading into darker shades of neon as well paired with a black swoosh. The texture used is almost a “scale-like” surface, which is unique. Two sets of laces are included one neon green pair and also a red pair. Additional pictures can be seen below.
The Kobe Protro version features a low profile sleeker look fitted with Nikes “Air zoom turbo”. This is similar to the Kobe 5 Bruce Lee Protro released this year aswell in terms of the low profile design. Collectors have many nicknames for the sneaker, such as Kobe “Grinch” or Kobe “Christmas,” for example. The official release date is set for December 24th, 2020 on Christmas eve.
