Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low

Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low

Even though the Nike SB Dunk Low has been around since the early 2000s, it may have just gotten its wildest colorway with Berlin-based shop Civilist.

Style

One of the shop’s upcoming version of Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low features a heat-sensitive upper that changes color as the shoe heats up, resulting in a colorful, weather radar style pattern.

The heat-sensitive treatment on its upper is a pretty cool idea in terms of sneaker colorways. The heat sensitivity makes the shoe feel almost interactive and is sure to be one of the hottest drops of the week.

Fresh out of the box, the pair seems relatively neutral with a full black upper and matching accents, but once exposed to heat, an animated heat map pattern begins to appear.

Colors like dark reds, lighter greens, and blues display the temperature spectrum, placed as if radiating from the heel to the toe box.

The Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low offers more room in the forefoot, making it comfortable enough for daily wear.

The very simple sneaker has a necessary leather upper reminiscent of an Air Force 1, not too thick with just enough padding. It is a snug fit that goes down half a size.

Like most other Nike skate shoes, this pair will stand up to the wear and tear that comes with skateboarding.

Release

Civilist has confirmed that their Nike’s SB Dunk Low collab will release on August 29th at selected skate shops. So be updated and stay tuned!
