Sneakerheads that keep making a “Jordan switch” between Air Jordan 1 highs and Air Jordan 1 lows now have a solution to their problems with the Air Jordan 1 High Switch.

There is no release date yet. However, this unique, innovative Air Jordan 1 High Switch will basically allow the user to change from a high to low variation of the shoe. This is thanks to the simple use of zippers that have been integrated into the collar.

Although official product images have yet to be released by the Jordan Brand, leaked photos of the groundbreaking shoe show the Air Jordan 1 “Switch” featuring a grey-toned suede upper combined with blue contrasting accents. This all goes on top of a white midsole. Other details include the profile Swoosh logos, along with mini iterations stitched into the side toe. The model was also initially teased to the public by professional skater Lui Elliott.

This Jordan Brand offering has been influenced by the work of custom makers who have come up with some unique designs and trends. Captivated with the concept of modularity and consequence-less customization, the team has come up with an intriguing way to present the Air Jordan 1, giving it a “Switch” namesake and a zipper that runs around the entire collar.

Part for show and part for functionality, the fixture lets the shoe convert from a High to a Low at a moment’s notice. This even opens up the possibility of mixing and matching colorways if the series gains traction amongst sneakerheads all over the world.

The Air Jordan 1 “Switch” is set to be released sometime in 2021 at select Nike retailers and Nike.com.
