A Look at the new Colorful J Balvin Air Jordan 1

The Columbian reggaeton singer J Balvin has partnered up with Jordan Brand to create a one of a kind Air Jordan 1. J Balvin wanted to bring in the “Colores” and “Vibras” (“colors” and “vibes”- also the names of his albums) with his AJ1 design. He wanted to create a pair of shoes that matched his vibrant energy, which is exactly what he did.

The uppers of the shoe are a rainbow colored canvass complemented by black accents. The rainbow swoosh has a lightning bolt looking black underlay, and the branded uppers are cut to look like clouds, meant to symbolize the source of Balvins energy. The colorway is brought together with a light pink midsole. Additionally, a smiley face replaces the Jordan branding on the left foot’s tongue tag, and there are also interchangeable patches, including a smiley face, basketball, Jumpman, and lightning bolt.

J Balvin is the first Latino artist to collaborate with Jordan Brand, and he says, “I wanted to be the person who really dared to change the shapes and go all out. No one has touched the Air Jordan I like this before.”

The release is set for December 8 on SNKRS so set your calendar because this pair will sell out fast!
